Data Logger Sofrel LT-US

The SOFREL LT-US is an IoT data logger for discharge control and flow measurement in sanitary and storm sewer networks, manufactured by LACROIX under the SOFREL brand, which specializes in remote management and monitoring solutions for water networks. It belongs to the SOFREL DL4W 4G LPWAN data logger range, in its high-power DL4W-HP model, and stands out for its integrated ultrasound probe for level measurement, powered and managed by the data logger itself.

The ultrasound probe measures effluent level over a 0 to 3 m (0 to 9.8 ft) range, with ±3 mm (±0.12") accuracy and 1 mm (0.04") resolution, and is available with a 5 or 10 m (16.4 or 32.8 ft) cable. The LT-US also provides 2 digital inputs for meters, rain gauges, status signals and overflow sensors, and 1 analog input for a SOFREL pressure sensor or third-party sensors on a 4-20 mA loop. It calculates flow using two conversion tables, the associated daily volume and the number of daily overflows, and controls an autonomous sampler.

Its dynamic archiving stores up to 100,000 data points locally, with primary and secondary archiving of digital, analog and ultrasound probe data, and automatically changes the archiving period on events such as an overflow. Its enclosure features enhanced IP68 waterproofing, verified by an independent laboratory through 30-day immersion tests under 4 m (13.1 ft) of water, and it runs on an internal high-capacity lithium battery with 6 to 10 years of life depending on measurement frequency.

Data is transmitted over 2G/4G M2M cellular networks (LTE-M and NB-IoT) to the utility's SCADA system, with daily synchronization. For chambers with limited coverage, it is available with the 4 m (13.1 ft) external FLEX antenna option. The LT-US communicates in inter-station mode with SOFREL S500, S4W, YDRIX and AS RTUs, simplifies data use through the SOFREL WEB LS IoT platform and is configured in the field via Bluetooth.
