UV light train for curing CIPP liners in DN1200-2000 (48"-80") and egg-shaped sewers, with 12 x 1,500 W lamps in 2 cores and infrared temperature monitoring

The SK2000 Light Train (Strahlerkette SK2000) is an ultraviolet lamp train for curing trenchless rehabilitation liners in large diameter sewers, manufactured by Streicher Kanalsysteme GmbH, a German family-owned company based in Kressbronn on Lake Constance. With more than 30 years in the sewer rehabilitation sector, Streicher develops, produces and sells robots and systems for the inspection and rehabilitation of drainage networks, with ISO 9001 certification.
In the UV-cured CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) process, a liner impregnated with light-sensitive resin is installed inside the damaged pipe and inflated with compressed air. The SK2000 travels through the liner at a controlled speed and cures the resin using 12 x 1,500 W UV lamps arranged in 2 cores of 6 lamps each, for a total output of 18,000 W. Three infrared sensors measure the liner surface temperature at different points, and an additional sensor measures the air temperature inside the liner, enabling real-time monitoring of the curing process.
The train fits circular pipes from DN1200 to DN2000 (48" to 80") and egg-shaped profiles from 1,000/1,500 to 1,200/1,800 mm (39.4"/59.1" to 47.2"/70.9"). Its legs, wheels and lamps extend electrically to adapt to the pipe diameter. The cores are self-sufficient and interchangeable; for short liners, a single core can be used. Two cameras with self-leveling mounts and active cooling allow the process to be monitored, heat-resistant Teflon wheels protect the liner surface, and lamp cages shield the lamps from mechanical damage.
The SK2000 is part of Streicher's UV curing system, which includes the blower to maintain internal liner pressure, the UV cable drum with control to regulate pulling speed, and stainless steel packers to seal the liner ends. The system can be integrated into rehabilitation vehicles configured by the manufacturer.
