Portable GPR Radiodetection CONQUEST 100

The CONQUEST® 100 is a portable ground penetrating radar (GPR) designed specifically for concrete inspection and scanning, marketed by Radiodetection and developed by Sensors & Software, a Canadian manufacturer specializing in GPR systems. It provides a fast, non-destructive method to gain accurate insight into objects embedded in slabs, walls, columns and ceilings, even on curved surfaces.

Its sensor head transmits radar signals through an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna and records the reflections produced by rebar, post-tension cables, metallic and non-metallic conduits and other embedded objects, with a user-defined view depth of 30 to 91 cm (12 to 36 in). In addition to GPR, it integrates a Power Cable Detector (PCD) that measures the magnetic fields created by 50 or 60 Hz current flow, distinguishing live electrical cables from other structures.

Compared with destructive verification methods, the CONQUEST 100 reduces the risk of damaging critical infrastructure before cutting or coring concrete. Its Line Scan mode provides real-time target assessment, and its Grid Scan mode generates on-site 3D images for detailed mapping of the inspected element. The Drill Locator function, with variable drill bit diameters, helps decide exactly where to drill, and DynaQ® maximizes data quality through automatic stacking.

Its 1.10 kg (2.43 lb) sensor head makes scanning walls and ceilings easy, and its 2-wheel drive optical encoder provides 0.5 mm or better resolution. The display unit includes Wi-Fi, a GPS/GLONASS receiver and a swappable lithium-ion battery. The CONQUEST 100 Enhanced version adds more projects and GPR data export (GPZ) for post-processing with the optional EKKO_Project™ software.
