Data Loggers
SOFREL data loggers bring flow and pressure measurement to the points in your network that have no cabling or power: valve chambers, sector inlets, regulating stations, and delivery points for large consumers. They record data on site and send it over 2G, 4G, or LPWAN to your supervision system, with no reading rounds required.
This changes how the network is run. When data arrives continuously, calculating losses no longer depends on manual readings that are infrequent and delayed, and adjusting pressure stops being an estimate. The range is also built for underground installations, flooding risk, and remote sites, so information stays available exactly where it is needed most, even at the hardest-to-reach points of the network.
With them you can read meters remotely, compare flow by sector to locate leaks, and operate pressure at its proper level to reduce overpressure bursts. And because each device adds one more point to the same supervision system, compatible with SCADA and with the manufacturer's or third-party centralization software, you can start with one sector and grow to cover the entire network.

They are usually underground, far from electrical power and wired communications, which makes them the points where the least data is available. SOFREL data loggers answer that problem: compact, rugged devices that bring measurement to those sites and make it available to the operations team.
The device connects to the flowmeters and pressure sensors at the site, records their signals at the interval you define, and transmits them over 2G or 4G, or over LPWAN when low power consumption is the priority. The data reaches your supervision system, where it is consolidated and analyzed alongside the rest of your operation.
From there, the same information serves three tasks. The first is remote consumption reading: reading flowmeters remotely, without sending staff to every site, and tracking large users and delivery points with near-continuous data. The second is district metering: with inlet and outlet flow for each sector, you calculate water balances, observe minimum night flow, and locate where losses are concentrated, which is the foundation of Marfel's Online District Metering solution. The third is pressure management: continuous recording at representative points lets you verify regulating stations, detect deviations, and adjust pressure with evidence, reducing leaks and bursts caused by overpressure.
The benefit shows up first in daily operations, because remote data replaces field visits and shortens response times. Over time, the accumulated history supports investment decisions, such as which pipe to rehabilitate or where to create new sectors. And because the range is designed for underground installations, flooding risk, and remote sites, it helps keep data available when it is needed most.
Integration does not mean starting from scratch either. The range works with the manufacturer's supervision and centralization software and is compatible with other SCADA systems and with third-party applications used by water operators. Through open interfaces, the data can feed district metering platforms, geographic information systems (GIS), and asset management systems (CMMS).
The usual path is to move in stages: a pilot sector, then the next ones, until the measurement network becomes a loss and pressure management program built on the operation's own history. If you are evaluating data loggers for your drinking water network, Marfel's team can help you define measurement points and the right communications architecture.
